Tapping End in Garmin Connect can wipe the workout you just finished. Owners of the CIRQA band have been losing whole activities after starting a session on the band and then answering the app's “Activity in Progress” prompt the obvious way. The prompt closes, the recording never turns up, and nothing tells you it has gone.

Garmin has acknowledged the reports, passed the feedback to an internal team and started contacting some affected owners for more detail, as Gadgets & Wearables reported. The company has not called this a bug, has not said why the workout vanishes, and has not named which versions of the app or the band's firmware are involved.

Start the activity on the band itself, then let Garmin Connect show you the “Activity in Progress” message, then choose End, and that is the run of taps that loses it. Anyone who starts and stops everything from the wrist may never meet it. Anyone who picks up the phone to tidy up a session is exposed.

When the app shows the prompt, tap Resume instead, open the recording screen, then stop and save the activity from there before letting the band sync. You are resuming a workout you already finished in order to keep it, and that is Garmin's own advice until the company changes the workflow.

Forum reports cover cycling, football and other activities, so this is not one sport or one sensor. One owner lost more than eight sessions before working out that this was not an ordinary syncing delay, which is exactly what it looks like from the app.

Firmware 3.20 is not the cause. CIRQA got that large update recently and it is the natural suspect, but owners were reporting disappearing activities before it shipped. Garmin's other instruction is the usual one, to keep both the band and Garmin Connect fully updated, though nobody has said which versions are involved, so an owner has no way to check whether they are on a safe build.

Garmin has given no timetable for a fix, and a band whose whole job is to collect training data in the background has one failure mode that undoes all of it. Until that prompt changes, the safe route is the one that feels backwards.
