Google is rolling out Pixel Buds software release 6.144 to the Pro, the Pro 2 and the 2a, according to 9to5Google. Tap to Mute lets you mute and unmute the mic on a call by tapping the buds, but it needs a paired Pixel phone. Auto-pause stops your music, turns off touch gestures and silences notifications once Pixel Watch sleep sensing decides you've dozed off. Enhanced Live Translate starts with a touch on the earbuds, so the phone can stay in your pocket.

The Pro 2 is the only model that gets Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation. Google says it will “automatically adjust audio or noise cancellation based on your ear seal,” which keeps the sound steady when the buds shift in your ear. Google first promised that upgrade at the Pixel 11 launch, per Android Authority. To install the update, open the Pixel Buds app and look under More settings for Firmware update.
