Released Guide updated
The iPhone 17 is the standard model, and it takes several things that used to be Pro-only. The 6.3-inch display is always-on, runs ProMotion up to 120Hz and hits 3,000 nits outdoors. The A19 chip drives a 48MP dual camera system with a 2x telephoto crop and a 48MP ultra-wide, and the front camera is an 18MP Center Stage sensor.
Latest on Apple phones
All iPhone news- TrendForce now expects the iPhone Duo to take 29.8% of foldables in 2027
An analyst forecast puts Apple second in foldables next year, behind Samsung. It says nothing about how the Duo holds up, which is the question for anyone buying one now.
Read the story - iPhone Duo inner screens are cracking along the fold for some first-day owners
Apple hasn't explained the cracks. If yours goes, the warranty covers it, and an Apple Store has been swapping phones on the spot while a replacement by phone means a hold for the full price.
