Samsung's Galaxy Studio headphones have cleared the FCC, the US agency that approves wireless gear, and they're down for two colors: black and beige. SammyGuru reported the filing for model SM-U700 on Thursday.

That filing also holds the first photo of the real hardware, though it isn't much of one. Samsung needed to show where the regulatory label will sit, and the picture catches a short stretch of dark headband. You can't see the earcups or the controls. Until now, the only look at these headphones came from drawings in Samsung's app, which show a headband with two full-size earcups.

The label confirms the SM-U700 model number and 5W charging, the same figure a TÜV Rheinland certificate gave last month. It also says they're made in Vietnam. Black and Beige come from Samsung's FCC test report, and the names on the box could end up different.

Samsung's clip-on Galaxy Buds On started in South Korea before anywhere else, so a Korea-only start looked possible for these too.

TÜV Rheinland in Germany and South Korea's radio regulator came first, and neither said anything about a sale in the US. Samsung's clip-on Galaxy Buds On started in South Korea before anywhere else, so a Korea-only start looked possible for these too. US clearance makes that less likely. Samsung's ear-hook Galaxy T1 earbuds cleared the FCC on November 4, which points the same way.

Samsung's app code still points to noise cancelling, dedicated noise controls and touch gestures, plus head tracking for 360 Audio, Samsung's version of spatial sound. Conversation mode is on there too. Start talking and the headphones let the room back in by themselves. There are also timers that turn them off when you leave them on a desk.

There's no battery life figure yet. These would go up against Apple's AirPods Max and Sony's WH-1000XM6, pairs people judge on noise cancelling, comfort and how long they last. A 5-watt charging rating and a piece of headband don't tell you how Samsung's pair will do on any of that.

Samsung still hasn't announced the headphones, what they'll cost, when they'll go on sale or if Galaxy Studio is the final name. Early 2027 is the window we've been tracking. If you need over-ear headphones for the holidays, buy from what's on the shelf. If you can wait, a US launch now looks like part of the plan.
