What to know

What to know

Snap's new Specs weigh 132 grams or 136 grams depending on frame size, Snap said in June 2026. That is about 40% lighter than the fifth-generation developer version, which weighed 226 grams.

It is the lightest Specs Snap has built, though still much heavier than AI glasses without displays. The extra weight comes from projecting full AR through see-through displays with no puck or phone.

Apple Vision Pro added per operator request: a headset, not glasses, so the comparison is illustrative (how much heavier true immersive AR is) rather than like-for-like.
