The Short Version
Snap announced sixth-gen Specs AR glasses launching fall 2026 at $2,195, weighing 132 grams with a 51-degree field of view and no external compute puck required.
Snap's sixth-gen Specs arrive this fall at $2,195, and they're the first consumer AR glasses that project a 115-inch virtual screen without a tethered computer box or external processor. Two Snapdragon chips sit inside the 132-gram frame itself, which is 40% lighter than the developer version Snap was selling before. No other consumer AR glasses do that untethered right now. The price is steep, nearly triple Meta's Ray-Ban Display, and Snap's only launching in the US, UK, and France with no confirmed app lineup yet. But the hardware exists, it ships, and it has a price, which puts Snap ahead of Apple and Meta in actually getting true AR glasses into people's hands.
