Evan Spiegel keynotes at Augmented World Expo in Long Beach tomorrow at 9:30am PT. The livestream is at experience.snap.com/awe-2026. Snap says new hardware details are coming.

The glasses are now just called Specs, the sixth generation of hardware Snap has been developing since 2021. Every previous version was developer-only.

The hardware runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips. Snap confirmed that partnership earlier this year. The reported price is $2,500, sourced from journalist Alex Heath. Snap hasn't confirmed it.

If Snap ships in fall 2026 as planned, it beats every competitor with a real AR display to market. Meta's Ray-Ban Display overlays notifications on a screen. Google's display glasses aren't coming until 2027. Nothing else launching this year does spatial AR standalone at any price.
