Evan Spiegel is on stage at AWE 2026 in Long Beach, California for the most significant hardware moment in Snap's history. The company is expected to show the consumer Specs for the first time — a standalone AR glasses with see-through waveguide, no phone tether, no external puck. Fall 2026 launch is confirmed. Bloomberg reported a $2,500 starting price; Snap came in at "just" $2,200. Spiegel has promised "a fraction of the weight, with a ton more capability" compared to the developer-only Gen 5 kit.
