The first Apple Glasses have no display at all. Cameras, microphones and speakers carry the whole interface, handling phone calls, Siri requests, music and photos. Mark Gurman laid out that same list in May 2025, and it has not grown since.
The hardware carries the codename N50, and the plan is a WWDC 2027 unveiling with a release late that year, per Road to VR. A version with a display belongs to a later generation.
Apple has not said what kind of speakers sit in the frames. The executive who ran that program alongside Vision Pro hardware left for OpenAI in June 2026.
