  We said a diver found the Pixel Watch 5 prototype near St. Martin, and early reports overstated its temperature sensor. It's not what our Leak Index says. It names no diver or place, and the prototype did list a temperature sensor.

  Our FAQ answer did not match the Leak Index record it cited.

  We said Starfire by Kylie Jenner leads Meta's new $299 glasses line. It's $399, the price Meta lists for Starfire by Kylie Jenner.

  We said Jyoti Mann's report that Ray-Ban Meta Audio (Luna) has six microphones was Partly right. It's Right. Mark Zuckerberg said six microphones on stage at Connect, and Tom's Guide's hands-on confirms it.

  Meta's newsroom post gave no microphone count, so we first graded this Partly.

What we do

When we find an error, or a reader tells us about one, we check it against the source. If we were wrong, we correct the page quickly.

For a correction that changes a fact, we say what changed, here and in a note on the page itself. We do not quietly rewrite a claim and hide that it was different before.

If we credited the wrong outlet or person with a report, we fix the credit. If a rumor's grade was wrong, we change the grade in our Reporting Record.

We also correct the same error wherever else it appears on iDevice, including our social posts.

What we don't treat as a correction

Rumors change as new reports come in. When that happens we update the page and keep the earlier reporting visible. That is new information, not a mistake.
