What to know

Apple is looking at a separate box, called a puck, that would hold the main chip away from its next Vision Pro headset, UploadVR reported in June 2026.

Moving the chip into a puck would make the headset lighter on your face. UploadVR said the redesign is for a headset arriving in late 2028 at the earliest, and compared it to Meta's plans for its next headset.

Apple has not announced the headset or the puck.
