Apple's iOS 27.2 update, out Monday, adds Apple Pencil support to the iPhone Duo, just days after the first phones reached buyers. You can write and draw on both the outer and inner screens, mark up PDFs and photos, and save handwritten notes, but it only works with the Apple Pencil (USB-C). The update also gives the Duo Edge Light, a feature from the Mac that no other iPhone gets. It puts a ring of light around the edge of the screen to light your face on FaceTime calls and in apps like Zoom.
The same release fixes well over 130 security holes, including one that let apps use the iPhone's cameras without your knowledge and one that let apps reach Bluetooth without asking. None of them had been used in attacks.
