Apple's foldable runs about as fast as the iPhone 18 Pro. The first iPhone Duo result to turn up on Geekbench 7, which MacRumors spotted on Wednesday, scored 3,986 on a single CPU core and 11,067 with all of them working. The phone was listed as iPhone19,4 running iOS 27.1. Those scores sit right in line with the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max results already out there, just under the very best of them.
Geekbench also reports 11.30GB of memory, which works out to 12GB of RAM. When a leaker said Apple once planned 16GB for the Pro phones and the Duo, Xcode 27 had already confirmed 12GB for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max but had nothing on the foldable yet. Now we know both phones carry the same amount.
Both run the A20 Pro, a 2nm chip with a 6-core CPU and a 7-core GPU, and the Duo's CPU lists the same 4.93GHz base speed that shows up in the Pro benchmarks. Apple says the A20 Pro is up to 20 percent faster than last year's A19 Pro on the CPU and up to 40 percent faster on graphics. This test didn't measure graphics at all.
The Duo has two screens to drive and a folding body to move heat through. So even with the same chip inside, a long game or a big video export could play out differently than it does on the Pro.
If you're choosing between the Duo and an iPhone 18 Pro, speed and memory aren't the difference. The folding screen and the price are. The Duo starts at $1,999, and replacing its inner screen costs $999 without AppleCare+. Pre-orders open on Friday, October 16, and the phone goes on sale October 23.
