Ozlo, founded by the engineers behind Bose's original Sleepbuds, has replaced its first product. The Sleepbuds 2 cost $279 against the $299 the originals launched at, run 14 hours per charge instead of 10, and weigh about 1.6 grams each. Mashable has the full spec breakdown.

Cheaper and lighter is the right direction because the category is no longer theirs alone. Gizmodo measures them against Soundcore's Sleep A30, roughly double the weight, and notes the trade Ozlo has made: there is no active noise cancelling here, so masking sounds do the work of drowning out a snorer. Whether that is enough depends entirely on what you are trying to sleep through.
