Google Health 5.11 is out on iOS and still rolling out on Android, and it takes the number of activities the Pixel Watch 3, 4 and 5 and the Fitbit Air can spot on their own from 10 to more than 100. The new list covers cardio machines, golf, high-intensity workouts, racket sports, strength training, swimming and team sports, 9to5Google reported. Google previewed the change when it announced the Fitbit Edge, which goes on sale with it on Tuesday, October 27. After you update, a new screen in the app explains how it works.

A workout gets logged once your heart rate stays up past a minimum time, and a summary usually shows up in the app within 30 minutes. Google hasn't published the exact heart rate or the time. The app also looks at your past workouts, the edits you've made and, if you allow it, your location. Fix a wrong guess or add a session it missed, and it learns your habits. Google says detection is now nearly twice as accurate and misses less than half as many workouts. The first and second Pixel Watch aren't on the list.
