Samsung's 2027 foldable lineup could run to six phones, and two of the names are new: a Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and something called the Galaxy Z Slide. The tipster TheGalox posted the list on X on October 14, as Tom's Guide reports. In TheGalox's order, the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 comes first, then the Z Slide, the Z Fold 9 Ultra, the Z Fold 9 Pro, the Z Fold 9 and the Z Flip 9.

Earlier reports had five: a Fold 9, a Fold 9 Ultra, a Flip 9, a TriFold successor and Samsung's first phone with a rollable screen. The new list puts a name on the rollable slot and slips a Pro model in between the Fold 9 and the Ultra.

Samsung sells two Fold 8s today, and the wide, passport-shaped Fold 8 took about 70% of its foldable pre-orders in Korea. A second wide Fold built for video was already said to be on the way for 2027. A Pro could be that phone under a new name, or a third Fold next to it. TheGalox didn't say which, and gave no sizes, prices or dates for any of the six.

Samsung has shown slidable concept phones before, including at CES 2025. The Flex Vertical grew from 5.1 inches to 6.7 inches, about the size of a normal phone. The Flex Duet went from 8.1 to 12.4 inches, and the Flex Solo from 8 inches to 17. None of those went on sale, and nobody has tied any of them to the Z Slide name.

The TriFold 2 going first fits what's known about the first one. Samsung only ever made the original TriFold in small numbers and stopped production in March, so a follow-up was expected. Whether it'll be easier to buy is anyone's guess.

A Flip 9 on the list is good news if you like the small flip. It matches an earlier GalaxyClub report that Samsung is building one under the codename B9. TheGalox's only other detail is that every phone in the lineup gets better battery life and is thinner and lighter.

Earlier reports point to the second half of 2027 for the next Fold and Flip, and Samsung hasn't announced any of these phones. If you want a Fold 8 or Flip 8, buy it now. A list of names a year out is no reason to wait.
