Samsung plans to build about 1.14 million Galaxy Z8 foldables in October and November, per SammyGuru, which is relaying a report from ETNews. That's a little over half the 2.14 million Samsung reportedly planned for August and September.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 still gets the biggest share, at around 500,000 units. The Fold 8 Ultra sits in the mid-300,000s and the Flip 8 at about 280,000. Together the two Folds are roughly three of every four phones in the plan.

A lower rate once the launch rush is over is common, and the new number is still ahead of last year. Samsung is reportedly building more Z8 phones across these two months than it built Z7 phones in the same stretch of 2025. Industry watchers expect the higher pace comes from stronger demand for the Fold 8, the wider one with the passport-style body.

The Flip 8 is the one model getting a bigger run. Samsung had planned around 220,000 of them for August and September and is now at about 280,000 for October and November. That's more than a quarter higher, while the series as a whole falls by almost half.

The Fold 8 had the opposite problem a month ago. On September 2 we reported that Samsung was spending 2027's chips to keep the Fold 8 in stock, because demand had outrun the plan and the phone was partly out of stock in Samsung's own store. A display driver chip was what held production back, and the number here is still one outlet's report of a plan, not a count of what Samsung has built.
