Samsung's ear-hook earbuds have a Korean certification. The SM-R545, which turned up in Samsung's app code under the name "Galaxy T1", is now listed in the database of South Korea's National Radio Research Agency, SammyGuru reported. The listing calls it a Bluetooth headset, names Samsung Electronics as both applicant and manufacturer, and carries certification number R-R-SEC-SMR545, dated October 21, 2026. The model number is the same one that showed up in the app.

China's CMIIT approved the SM-R545 on September 23, almost a month before Korea, under approval certificate 2026-22919 and CMIIT ID 26J99SM7R545. That was the same day China cleared the four Galaxy S27 phones. That doesn't mean the buds and the phones launch together.

China and Vietnam are listed as the countries where the buds are made, and that's about all the Korean entry gives away. It says Bluetooth headset and stops there. What the T1 actually looks like, and what it does, comes from the earlier look inside Samsung's software.

That code points to a full ear-hook design, one that wraps around the outside of your ear. That could give a more secure fit for running and workouts. If you've ever pushed a bud back in halfway through a run, that's the whole point of a hook. You'd get separate touch-and-hold controls on the left and right buds, so each side can do its own thing. There's an earbud fit test in there too, and switching between noise-control modes.

The T1 is a separate product from the clip-on Galaxy Buds On, another unreleased pair found in Samsung's software. So Samsung has two new earbud designs in its software at once, and neither has been announced.

"Galaxy T1" is only what the app calls the model. The certification doesn't say what Samsung will sell it as, so the name on the box may well be different.

There's no price, no release date and no word from Samsung on either. If you need workout earbuds now, buy for now. If you've wanted a Samsung pair that stays put on a run, the T1 is the one to watch.
