What to know

Apple's smart glasses with a screen in the lens have slipped to 2029, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He said in June 2026 that his latest supply chain checks point to the delay.

Kuo says the glasses use waveguides, a clear layer in the lens that puts an image in front of your eye. That would put them about two years after Apple's first glasses, which have no display.

Apple has not announced either model.
