Part of Apple's first glasses won't have a display

The first pair would reportedly skip LiDAR and 3D cameras to save battery

MacRumors, citing an inside source, reported in April that Apple would leave out a screen, LiDAR, 3D cameras and similar hardware because they draw too much power, and that battery size drives what Apple can fit while keeping the frames slim. Apple has not announced the glasses.
