Gadgets & Wearables found the entry in Indonesia's telecommunications certification database, issued to PT Garmin Indonesia Distribution on August 12 under certificate number 125338/DJID/2026. The device category reads Fitness Product and the brand reads GARMIN, and the model column reads CIRQA SMART RING, which is where hardware gets named rather than described. Garmin has not announced any such product, and its Indonesian website still promotes the CIRQA Smart Band it launched a few weeks earlier.

An administrative mistake is possible. Smart Ring is not a spelling slip away from Smart Band, though, and Garmin already had the band's exact name sitting there to enter. The listing was pulled from the public database shortly after it circulated. A ring would put Garmin against Oura, RingConn, Samsung and Ultrahuman in a category it has never sold into, and most of the software for one already runs inside Garmin Connect: sleep tracking, HRV Status, Body Battery, stress and skin temperature.
