Nick Lum has spent months wearing a Pebble Round 2, and he published a YouTube video sharing what that daily use looks like. Android Authority reported on the video, which Notebookcheck first spotted. Lum says his unit should be identical to what ships to customers, and he is clearly a fan of it.

The watch measures just 8.1mm thick, noticeably slimmer than rivals like the Garmin Forerunner 165 that Lum lined up next to it on camera. It has no heart rate sensor, so it sits flat against the wrist, and Lum says it stays comfortable enough that he has barely touched his old Pebble Time 2 since switching over. Months of everyday wear have left the unit in what he calls mint condition.

His one real complaint is the physical buttons. They sometimes feel like they have clicked without actually registering the input, a problem Lum says he discussed directly with Pebble founder Eric Migicovsky and still ran into on a replacement unit. How hard he presses seems to matter, but the issue has not gone away.

Battery life has swung between five and 14 days depending on configuration and software updates, and his most recent reading landed around 10 days, the low end of Pebble's advertised 10-to-14-day range. Lum's advice for stretching it: skip watch faces that show seconds, and turn off the music app's progress monitor.

The $199 Round 2 was originally due in May, before production problems pushed it back. Notebookcheck reports production has now started, though most customers will not get their watches until December.
