In an exclusive with Tom's Guide, Even Realities chief executive Will Wang makes a direct accusation: the cameras on Meta's and Google's glasses exist to collect training data for future AI models, not to make the glasses on sale today better. His G1 and G2 omit cameras and speakers entirely and show text in the lens instead, things like call summaries and directions.
It is a competitor's argument and worth reading as one, but the company is putting weight behind it. Even Realities has taken its engineering team from 20 people to nearly 400. The position also lands in a week when the privacy case against camera glasses is being made without any help from rivals: Samsung has still not answered the recording question on its own Galaxy Glasses.
