Evan Blass posted three renders of the foldable iPhone on X on Wednesday, showing it in white, black and red. A red one would be a return. Apple has not released a red iPhone since 2022, when the iPhone 14 and the third-generation iPhone SE arrived as part of its (PRODUCT)RED partnership, and every rumor about the foldable until now had it in black and white, or in white alone.
Mark Gurman answered the post directly. "This isn't a legitimate look at the foldable iPhone, which also doesn't come in red or green," he wrote, and said he had heard the renders came from Xiaomi, as MacRumors reported. The images have problems of their own, including a status bar that does not match iOS 27. Apple has said nothing about colors and will not have to for much longer, with its iPhone event set for September 9 at Apple Park.
