Meta's version 128 update for the Ray-Ban Meta glasses adds turn-by-turn walking directions, and 9to5Google reports it is now broadly available after first appearing earlier in September. Say "Hey Meta, navigate to Times Square" and the glasses guide you there using the location from your phone. For places too far to walk, Meta sends driving directions to the phone instead. You can also pick a destination in your phone's mapping app, tap Share, choose Meta AI, and navigation starts on the glasses. Version 128 also brought Spatial Audio and more anti-tampering, so the camera stops working if the privacy LED has been covered.
Version 129 follows with two accessibility settings. Mono Audio plays the same sound in both ears by combining the left and right channels, and Audio Balance shifts sound toward either ear one step at a time. Both sit under Device settings, Audio, Accessibility. The rollout is gradual: owners of first-generation and Gen 2 Wayfarers in the UK and Peru have the same build, and many others are still waiting, per Android Authority.
