Samsung raised US prices on the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra on October 1, per SammyGuru. Every storage tier went up by $100 or more.
The Galaxy S26 now starts at $999.99 for 256GB, up from $899.99. That's about 11 percent more for the same phone. The S26+ went from $1,099.99 to $1,199.99. The S26 Ultra starts at $1,399.99 instead of $1,299.99, and its 1TB model took the biggest jump, $200, to $1,999.99, one cent short of $2,000. On the S26+ and the base Ultra, $100 works out to roughly 9 and 8 percent.
The base Ultra had been the one S26 model that held its price against last year's S25 Ultra. It doesn't any more.
Chipmakers, Samsung among them, have been putting memory production toward data centers and AI, which leaves less for phones. Samsung hasn't published a detailed reason for this increase, but it lands in the middle of that squeeze.
In mid-September, reports had Samsung weighing a Korean price rise from October 1, and prices have since gone up in many other regions as well, per SammyGuru.
Samsung unveiled the S26 series in February. Seven months later, the cheapest one costs $100 more than it did at launch.
The S27 is expected early next year, and the new S26 prices could become its starting points, per SammyGuru. A Korean tipster has already said Samsung plans to raise S27 prices across the range. The S27 has no official price, and everything above about the US change rests on one outlet's report.
