Korean outlet Hans Economy reported that Samsung plans to raise the price of every Galaxy S26 model in South Korea by KRW 149,600 starting October 1, and the reported new Korean prices spread from there. The Galaxy S26 would go from KRW 1,254,000 to KRW 1,403,600, and the Ultra from KRW 1,797,400 to KRW 1,947,000. Rising component costs are the reason given, with memory prices climbing this year as AI data centers buy up memory and storage.

Samsung told Hans Economy it has not sent out any official notice of an increase. It did say it is reviewing prices because of higher component costs, and that nothing has been finalized yet. The report covers Korea only. In the US the Galaxy S26 still starts at $899, with the S26+ at $1,099 and the Ultra at $1,299, and a matching increase there would make Galaxy flagships $100 more expensive than iPhones across the board.
