What to know

A later pair of Apple glasses could run the full Vision Pro software when connected to a Mac, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in October 2025. Vision Pro is Apple's headset.

Connected to an iPhone, the same glasses would switch to a lighter, simpler interface. That is different from the first model, which has no display and leans on the iPhone for everything.

Gurman was told this may be possible, not that it is planned. No model or date is attached to it.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked

Would the glasses run the same software as Vision Pro?
A later pair could run the full Vision Pro operating system when paired with a Mac, switching to a lighter mobile interface with an iPhone. Apple has announced no such model, and the reporting describes what someone was told rather than a plan.
Why would the interface change with the device?
A Mac supplies desktop-class processing the glasses do not carry themselves. Paired with an iPhone they have less to work with, so the lighter interface is a consequence of the hardware rather than a separate product decision.
