How much does Mentra Live cost, and how fast does it ship?
It is $449, and that price includes the glasses, the charging case and the Infinity Cable. Mentra processes an order in 2 to 5 business days and says delivery then takes 2 to 7. Retail orders on the website ship to United States addresses only. For a business order, or shipping anywhere else, Mentra asks you to email support instead of using checkout.
How long does the battery last?
Mentra gives two figures on one page. Its Specifications block rates the glasses at 12+ hours of mixed use. Its own FAQ, further down that page, puts all-day wear at 10+ hours of mixed use, with 5+ hours of music, 1+ hours of video recording and 40+ minutes of live streaming. Both are Mentra's words, so both are here. The glasses hold 260 mAh and the case holds 2,200 mAh.
What is the Infinity Cable?
Mentra's own name for a cable that charges the glasses while you are still wearing them, powered by a phone, a battery pack or anything with USB-C. The charging case is the other way to top them up.

Every Mentra Live ships with clear non-prescription lenses by default; single-vision Rx lenses with anti-reflective coating, and photochromic (transition) lenses, are available by contacting Mentra sales and are coordinated with that order rather than sold on their own.

It is $449, and that price includes the glasses, the charging case and the Infinity Cable. Mentra processes an order in 2 to 5 business days and says delivery then takes 2 to 7. Retail orders on the website ship to United States addresses only. For a business order, or shipping anywhere else, Mentra asks you to email support instead of using checkout.
How long does the battery last?
Mentra gives two figures on one page. Its Specifications block rates the glasses at 12+ hours of mixed use. Its own FAQ, further down that page, puts all-day wear at 10+ hours of mixed use, with 5+ hours of music, 1+ hours of video recording and 40+ minutes of live streaming. Both are Mentra's words, so both are here. The glasses hold 260 mAh and the case holds 2,200 mAh.
What is the Infinity Cable?
Mentra's own name for a cable that charges the glasses while you are still wearing them, powered by a phone, a battery pack or anything with USB-C. The charging case is the other way to top them up.
What can a team actually do with it?
Three workflows, in Mentra's words: automatic work documentation with photo evidence, a remote expert on a Microsoft Teams call watching the wearer's point-of-view camera, and AI guidance delivered through audio. Mentra applications can also reach the systems a team already runs.
Can we write our own software for it?
Yes, and this is the point of the product. Mentra Live runs the open-source MentraOS platform, and the Mentra Bluetooth SDK connects your own Android or iOS software straight to the glasses, with direct control of the camera, speakers, microphones, touchpad and buttons. It can work offline and without Mentra-hosted cloud infrastructure.
Who controls the data it collects?
You do, in Mentra's account of it. You pick the AI services and the path the data takes, and a deployment can run on-premises, in your own cloud, across hybrid infrastructure or fully air-gapped. MentraOS itself keeps very little: your email address and the list of software you have installed, both viewable and deletable in the Mentra app.
What does the camera capture?
A 119° field of view in landscape, HD 1080p video and HD 3264 x 2448 stills. Mentra states no megapixel figure for the camera on its current spec sheet, so neither do we.
Does it work with my phone?
Yes, through the Mentra app, on iOS 15.1 or later and Android 12 or later. The app comes from the App Store or Google Play.
Does it need an internet connection?
No, not for the core functions. Mentra says video, photos, calls and music all work without one.
Is Mentra Live waterproof?
No, and Mentra publishes no water resistance rating for it. Mentra says light rain, sweat and everyday use are fine, swimming is not, and to keep them off in heavy rain.
What comes in the box, and what about prescription lenses?
The glasses, the charging case, the Infinity Cable and a microfiber cloth. The lenses that come fitted are clear and non-prescription. Mentra does prescription lenses as part of a Mentra Live order rather than as something you buy separately.
Is there a subscription?
Not for the miniapps Mentra ships for the glasses. Both Mentra Notes and Mentra Captions state no subscription on their own pages, and Mentra states no subscription for Mentra Live itself anywhere we read.
Can we return it, and what is the warranty?
Mentra gives 30 days to return an eligible order, with the buyer paying return shipping unless the product is defective. A defect inside those 30 days puts the return shipping on Mentra. Mentra Live carries a 1-year limited warranty on covered defects, and an approved claim gets return shipping and a replacement. An approved refund reaches your original payment method within 10 business days.
Can we start with a small deployment?
Yes. Mentra's own path is a pair first, then one workflow validated as a pilot, then a site, then the fleet. Mentra scopes the workflow, equips a first field team and sets success criteria before anything expands.
What should we compare against other enterprise glasses?
Mentra argues for the controls rather than the camera: who holds the operational data, which AI is allowed to run, whether your software reaches the hardware directly, how private software gets distributed, and how a fleet is managed. Its own pitch for Mentra Live is a light camera and audio endpoint with all five.
