Smart glasses run hot, and heat is why some camera glasses cap recording at three minutes per session. xMEMS built a fan that fits inside a temple arm at 46mm², draws 70mW, and drops temperature by up to 10°C. Engineering samples are out now, with production targeted for late 2027 and glasses using it around 2028. Cooler chips mean longer recording and better on-device AI, if anyone ships it.
