Apple's camera list for the iPhone Duo runs to focal lengths, apertures and slow-motion frame rates. Spatial video isn't on it.
The Mac Observer found nine specifications missing from the tech specs page Apple published alongside its September 9 press release. ProRes is one. So are Apple Log, Genlock and external recording over USB-C, and Apple lists all four by name for the iPhone 18 Pro.
Spatial video is the format Vision Pro plays back.
Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro at 1080p and 30 frames per second for spatial capture. On the Duo it says nothing in either direction, which leaves the most expensive iPhone Apple sells undocumented on the one thing that would tie it to the headset. The port makes the silence stranger. Apple rates the Duo's USB-C at USB 3 speeds up to 10Gb/s with DisplayPort, the same port specification that carries external recording on the Pro, and it still hasn't said the Duo does that.
An omission isn't a denial, and Apple hasn't ruled out adding ProRes or spatial video in a later software update.
There's no sensor size and no pixel size for either rear camera, which is how Apple documents every iPhone rather than something it's doing to the foldable. Apple lists 48MP macro on the Ultra Wide and gives no minimum focus distance for it, and it puts sensor-shift stabilization on the main camera while listing no stabilization for the Ultra Wide at all.
The camera under the 7.6-inch inner display gets an aperture of f/1.8 and a 1080p video ceiling, and no megapixel figure. Every other camera on the Duo has one, so that absence belongs to this phone alone. Apple does confirm the phone uses Touch ID in the side button and carries no Face ID, so that camera is doing no biometric work.
What Apple did publish is detailed enough to make the silences obvious. The main camera is 48MP at 26mm and f/1.6. The 2x telephoto is a 12MP crop from the middle of that sensor rather than a lens of its own. The Ultra Wide is 48MP at 13mm and f/2.2 across 120 degrees, and rear video reaches 4K Dolby Vision at 120 frames per second. Digital zoom stops at 10x, where the 18 Pro goes to 40x.
Nobody outside Apple has shot with the phone and Apple hasn't released a full-resolution still from it, so there is nothing to judge about output yet. The camera documentation hasn't changed since September 9. Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT and the Duo ships on October 23 with iOS 27.1, which is the first day any of this can move.
