If you order an iPhone Duo from Apple today, plan on waiting close to three months. UBS's Evidence Lab tracker, which follows iPhone availability across more than 30 markets, put the average Duo wait at 89 days as of October 30, according to UBS data reported by Investing.com. That's a week shorter than the reading before it.

The iPhone 18 Pro averaged about five days, three days quicker than the week before. The 18 Pro Max held at roughly 18 days. So a Pro ordered now lands this week, a Pro Max in under three weeks, and a Duo sometime around the end of January. It's the same company, the same season and a very different wait.

Duo pre-orders slipped to late January within minutes of opening on October 16. Most people who lined up at a store on launch day still walked out with one, because Apple sent roughly 80% of its first Duo stock to its own retail stores, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported. Some stores held as few as 50 units. Online buyers got what was left.

Whether a one-week drop means more phones are coming off the line or fewer people are ordering, the figures can't say yet. UBS said reports of screens cracking along the hinge were unlikely to be the main reason waits got shorter. Either way, three months is still three months.

Apple called demand "nothing short of extraordinary" and said it was working to fill orders "as quickly as possible." Delivery dates on existing orders can move up as stock catches up, so an estimate that says January today may not stay there. If you already ordered, keep an eye on the date in your order.

The Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB in the US, with 512GB at $2,199, 1TB at $2,599 and 2TB at $3,199. That's a lot of money to put down for a phone you won't hold until the new year.

If you want a Duo before the holidays, ordering online won't get you there. Your best shot is store stock, which is where most of the early supply went. If you don't need the Duo's design, the 18 Pro ships in days.
