Samsung Galaxy Glasses · Reported Feature

Android XR, wired into Galaxy phones and watches

The glasses run Android XR, co-developed with Google, and work with Galaxy phones and the Galaxy Watch out of the box. Google Maps has a confirmed Android XR integration, with a Spotify app teardown hinting at another in development. Google confirmed at I/O 2026 that the glasses work with both Android and iPhone via Gemini, though full iOS feature parity hasn't been detailed. The One UI XR branding surfaced through a leaked Galaxy Glasses Manager companion app.

Samsung's Galaxy Glasses, codenamed Jinju, run Android XR on Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1, the same platform Google's own glasses use. When two hardware makers share one software base, developers build an app once and reach both devices. That's an edge over Apple's more closed approach to wearables.
