Xreal Project Aura · Reported Feature

A pocket puck with a 4,455mAh battery and a trackpad face

The phone-sized puck holds the Snapdragon processor, a 4,455mAh battery, and network connectivity, and its entire face is a trackpad for pointer control alongside hand tracking. Heavy use is estimated at 2 to 3 hours. Weight, exact dimensions, and charging speed are unconfirmed.

Xreal's Project Aura moves the processor, battery, and wireless out of the glasses and into a phone-sized puck you carry, which is how the frames stay light. The 4,455mAh battery is a solid size, and the entire face of the puck works as a trackpad alongside hand tracking. Apple is reportedly exploring the same external-puck approach for a lighter Vision Pro 2. Carrying two things beats wearing 600 grams on your face.
