A new Apple Watch app called Readiness turned up in watchOS 27 code, found by pdfu, a member of the MacRumors forums, in September 2026. It is separate from the existing Vitals app.
9to5Mac reported the app sits right after Workout on the default home screen, and the iPhone's Watch app mentions it too. AppleInsider said it was code-named Cobalt and is health related, and Tom's Guide said the code points to recovery and training load data.
After Apple's September 9 event, AppleInsider reported that watchOS 27 adds new Readiness and Recap apps.
