The Mac Observer found three video features on Apple's compare page for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max that never came up during the September 9 keynote: Apple Log 2, ProRes RAW and Genlock. They sit next to 4K Dolby Vision at up to 120 fps on the spec sheet. Recording ProRes at 4K 120 fps needs an external drive, and that condition is in the tech specs rather than in the presentation.
All three carry over from the iPhone 17 Pro, according to the same compare page. None of them appears on the iPhone Duo. The camera change Apple did introduce on stage is the physical variable aperture in the 48MP fusion main camera, and John Ternus had posted a 14-second video to X hours earlier, no commentary, a spotlight narrowing onto curved glass. We covered what that aperture actually does the same day.
