Counterpoint Research estimates Apple will ship about six million iPhone Duos worldwide before the end of 2026, The Mac Observer reported. The phone costs $1,999 in the United States and goes on sale October 23. The piece ties the demand to Apple skipping the standard iPhone 18 this fall, which pushed buyers toward the premium models and left iPhone 18 Pro sales 12 percent above the older version.
That lands at the low end of the six to eight million units Jiemian News reported as Apple's stocking target for 2026, in a report that also put Foxconn's assembly yields at just over 60% on September 17 (our report on the yields). Counterpoint's number is an analyst estimate, not an Apple one, and neither report gives a first-week supply figure for October 16, when pre-orders open.
