Leaked renders show an unannounced Motorola smartwatch called the Moto Watch Ultra, sitting well above the Moto Watch that launched in January. The case is 46mm stainless steel where the current model is aluminium, wrapped in a numbered bezel with a large rotating crown. Text printed on the back lists built-in GPS, LTE, IP68 dust and water resistance, and protection in water to 50 metres. A large optical sensor array sits underneath for health tracking.
Motorola's current watch runs its own lightweight software rather than Wear OS, Google's smartwatch operating system, which buys 13 days of battery and gives up an app store and tap-to-pay. The renders carry the LTE text and nothing about software. Motorola helped invent this category with the Moto 360 in 2014 and left it in 2016.
