The Mac Observer obtained images of an unannounced Motorola smartwatch carrying the internal name Moto Watch Ultra. It is circular, roughly 46mm, ringed by a numbered bezel, with a large rotating crown at two o'clock and a second button at four. Text on the back confirms built-in GPS, LTE, IP68 dust and water resistance and protection to 50 metres, above a large optical sensor array. The renders show a black leather-style strap with red stitching and a red inner lining, and a face displaying steps, activity, calories, time and date.
The two outlets covering it disagree on what the case is made of. The Mac Observer describes a stainless steel case, finished more richly than the current Moto Watch and its aluminium frame; Android Headlines read the same images as showing an aluminium frame. Android Headlines also reports the watch will run Motorola's own RTOS rather than Wear OS, trading the app ecosystem for battery life, which would put it in a different category from the Galaxy and Apple Ultras its name invites comparison with. Motorola has not announced the Motorola Watch Ultra, so price, battery life, software and timing are all unknown.
