Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9, built on Android 17, to the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra and to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, starting in South Korea. The S26 series came first, then the S25 and the Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, so the 2024 phones are the next step back. Per Android Authority, the X user Kailash posted screenshots of the S24 build, which carries firmware S92xNKSUGEZIF and the September 5, 2026 security patch. A second screenshot shows the foldables on build EZIH.
S24 owners already on the One UI 9 beta get about 500MB, while anyone upgrading from One UI 8.5 gets about 3.8GB, since that's the whole Android 17 upgrade. On the foldables the beta-to-stable package is about 408MB, and a separate X report puts the full download at about 3.5GB. The update carries the same changes already on newer Galaxy phones, including more Galaxy AI features, a more customizable Quick Panel and Samsung Health upgrades. For now it's South Korea only. Samsung has followed the same pattern with the S26, S25 and newer foldables, so the US and Europe should be next.
