Gurman reports Apple has been working on a ceramic case and could offer it this year or next. Ceramic ran from Series 2 to Series 5 and was dropped when Series 6 launched in 2020. The Series 5 ceramic model started at $1,299, against $399 for the cheapest Series 11 today.

Mostly no. Same rounded square, same 42mm and 46mm sizes. What changed is the material. There's a ceramic case now, in Pearl White and Night Blue, alongside aluminium and titanium, and the aluminium models get Ceramic Shield 2 on the front.
