XREAL put the 1 Pro+ on sale today at XREAL.com for $599, Road to VR reported. It's a refresh of the One Pro, the tethered AR glasses XREAL launched in early 2025, and stores outside its own site will get it later.
Peak brightness climbs to 1,200 nits, up from 700 on the One Pro. That's roughly 70% more light from the same Sony micro-OLED panels. XREAL has also added an AI HDR mode, which it says makes supported video look better, next to Standard, Movie and Reading picture modes.
The automatic 2D-to-3D conversion now runs at 60 frames a second instead of 30, so ordinary video turned into 3D should move more smoothly. There's a new nose pad too. XREAL says it holds the glasses steadier on your face and helps you see the whole picture without nudging them into place.
The X1 chip carries over from the One Pro, along with the 0.55-inch panels at 1,920 by 1,080 per eye, the 57-degree field of view and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. So do the electrochromic dimming that darkens the lenses, the Bose audio and the adjustable temples. You still choose between two sizes based on the distance between your pupils, 57 to 66mm or 66 to 75mm.
Out of the box the glasses still use 3DOF, which means the screen follows the way you turn your head but not where you walk. Full 6DOF tracking still needs the Eye, XREAL's separate $99 camera accessory.
XREAL's product photos show the glasses with no cable. They still need one. A USB-C cable with DisplayPort output connects them to a laptop, a phone or a game console, and the picture comes from that device, not from the glasses.
XREAL's other new pair, the Aura, runs Android XR with Gemini built in, has a pocket puck carrying its battery and a 70-degree view, and costs $1,279, or $1,499 with 16GB of memory. It starts shipping in mid-November in four countries. The 1 Pro+ does less on its own, because it's a screen for a device you already own, and it costs less than half as much as the cheaper Aura.
For a One Pro owner, the upgrade comes down to brighter screens, smoother 3D conversion and a nose pad that fits better. Someone buying a first pair pays the same $599 the One Pro cost at launch, and gets the brighter screen with it.
