Instagram said about a month ago that it would start removing the prank and pickup-artist videos filmed on Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Dozens were still up when Business Insider went looking, and some came down only after a reporter flagged them to the company. Meta counts thousands of similar posts removed, the hashtags rizz and cold approach blocked, and two popular accounts taken down last month.

The same clips run on TikTok and YouTube, where they break those rules too, and neither company makes the glasses. Every one of the videos starts the same way, with a camera in an ordinary-looking frame recording someone who never sees it happen. Instagram is removing posts. The glasses have not changed.
