Will the Series 12 measure blood pressure?
No. Apple did not announce blood pressure monitoring on the Series 12. The spec sheet lists hypertension notifications, which the Series 11 already had, and the Health Sensing System is the same four sensors: electrical heart, optical heart, blood oxygen, temperature. DigiTimes had reported a new high blood pressure notification under FDA review, framed around the Ultra 4. Nothing like it arrived on either watch.
What form would it take?
Neither, in the end. Apple shipped no blood pressure feature on the Series 12 or the Ultra 4. The reporting never settled whether it meant full readings or alerts for signs of high blood pressure, and the announcement did not settle it either.
