Snap will show its Specs AR glasses in full on September 16 in Los Angeles, with co-founder Evan Spiegel demonstrating them on stage. Road to VR points out that the pre-order page still says only that Specs ship this fall in the US, UK and France, so the event is where a real date is likely to land rather than the launch itself.

Specs start at a confirmed $2,195, more than Samsung's Galaxy XR headset, and the first run is roughly 100,000 units. Snap's audience skews young and price-sensitive. Whether it buys a two-thousand-dollar face computer is what September 16 has to answer, and a stage demo cannot.
